Lionsgate stunned New York City this morning with a magical stunt that truly lived up to the legacy of Now You See Me. To celebrate the trailer debut of the highly anticipated Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the studio gave away an astonishing $250,000 in digital payments — right in the middle of Times Square.

A Live Countdown, a Mystery Number, and Pure Movie Magic

Unsuspecting New Yorkers and tourists were drawn to a massive Times Square digital billboard flashing the words “NOW YOU SEE ME.” A live countdown clock and a mysterious phone number appeared, inviting viewers to text or call for a surprise.

When the countdown hit zero, the billboard dramatically flipped to read “NOW YOU DON’T.” Moments later, lucky participants who had texted the number received two unexpected gifts: an exclusive first look at the brand-new trailer and instant cash prizes, delivered digitally — courtesy of the Horsemen themselves.

A Star-Studded Assist from the New Generation of Horsemen

Franchise newcomers Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa were on hand for the spectacle, helping bring the unforgettable "heist" to life. Their presence added a thrilling in-person touch to an event designed to embody the magic, mischief, and jaw-dropping twists that fans have come to love from the Now You See Me franchise.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Uncharted, Zombieland), Now You See Me: Now You Don’t reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman, alongside new faces like Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike. The screenplay comes from Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Lesslie, and Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese, based on a story by Eric Warren Singer.

A New Era of Illusion

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t follows the original Four Horsemen as they return — this time joined by a new generation of mind-bending illusionists. Together, they perform twists, tricks, and surprises that promise to push the boundaries of magic and storytelling like never before.

Lionsgate’s bold Times Square stunt wasn’t just a trailer drop; it was a real-world manifestation of the franchise’s central theme: expect the unexpected.

Fans can expect Now You See Me: Now You Don’t to deliver even bigger twists, even bolder illusions, and even more mind-blowing misdirection when the film hits theaters on November 14, 2025.
