Disney Investor Day 2020 Disney+ News

Disney is ensuring everyone that Disney+ is the future. They have announced numerous titles specifically for the platform. This list doesn't even include content from Disney's other houses, like NatGeo and Fox. Check out the list of Disney+ Exclusive Content.

Disney Investor Day 2020 Disney+ Series

Mighty Ducks: Game Changers - the legacy of hockey's finest fowls continues on Disney+. The series picks up where the films left off. Emilio Estevez returns as Gordon Bombay and

Lauren Graham joins the flock. I wonder if they'll go over Bombay's ridiculous connections that let his pee-wee team play for THE COUNTRY at the Junior Olympics.

Turner & Hooch - Inspired by the classic film, this buddy comedy stars Josh Peck and his partner, a sweet and slobbery mastiff. Coming to Disney+. Considering Peck's preference to produce his own content, there must have been something that drew him to this project and I'm excited to see that. And I always like dogs.

Big Shot - a celebration of girl power, set in the world of high school basketball. The series stars Yvette Nicole Brown, John Stamos, and Jessalyn Gilsig. Big Shot packs in big fun. Coming soon to Disney+. The cast looks good, but will this feel like a Disney Channel Sitcom or an ABC Sitcom? I naturally associate it as a Disney Channel-like property, but the cast definitely screams ABC. We'll see.

The Mysterious Benedict Society - Another mystery is unfolding... Join

Tony Hale and Kristen Shaal in this series based on the international best-selling book series. Coming to Disney+. Again, I'm associating with Disney Channel, but the property is definitely projecting primetime TV vibes.

Cheaper by the Dozen - Cheaper by the Dozen, a reimagining of the hit comedy from “Blackish” producer Kenya Barris, will debut on Disney+ in 2022. The story centers on a blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life and their family business. Gabrielle Union is set to star. Definitely excited to see a different perspective on a blended family.

Disney Investor Day 2020 Disney+ Movies

Hocus Pocus 2 - the spooky sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic! Adam M. Shankman is set to direct. I enjoyed the first one, indifferent about a sequel until they announce the return of Doug Jones.

Three Men and a Baby - Get ready for a modern take on the hilarious '80s comedy starring Zac Efron. This is slated for a 2022 release on Disney+. I'm an Efron fan, definitely feel his comedy chops are under appreciated. But want some raunchiness in a remake of Three Men and a Baby, hoping this doesn't get too family-friendly.

Safety - premieres today on Disney+. Inspired by the story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, the film follows a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication helps him triumph over adversities. An inspiration watch if there ever was one.

Three new Original Movies inspired by the real-life stories of Chris Paul, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Keanon Lowe, coming to Disney+. I mean they're not Lakers... Interest is mild.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Animated Film - The live-action film franchise Diary of a Wimpy Kid comes to Disney+ in 2021 as an all-new animated film! Something to throw on when I'm babysitting.

Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild - The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is the next installment in 20th Century Studios' Ice Age franchise. It stars three favorite characters: prankster possum brothers Crash and Eddie, and swashbuckling weasel Buck voiced by

Simon Pegg. Coming to Disney+ in early 2022.

Night at the Museum Animated Film - Did you hear that? Electric torch Night at the Museum is coming to Disney+ with a new twist: this time it’s animated! Shawn Levy, director of the film trilogy, is producing. The exhibit opens on Disney+in 2021. I'm wondering if they're bringing in Ben Stiller and what they're going to do about Teddy.

Flora & Ulysses - A cynical young comic book fan and her superpowered squirrel sidekick team up in an Original Movie streaming February 19 on Disney+. This looks pretty adorable.

Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers - Chip and Dale are back in a hybrid live-action-animated feature directed by Akiva Schaffer and starring John John Mulaney N’ Andy Samberg. Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, an Original Movie, is coming to Disney+. I'm excited to see what The Lonely Island boys will bring to the franchise. Allso, I think Seth Rogen is attached too. And if he's not Monty, he'll probably voice a bad guy.

Peter Pan & Wendy - Peter Pan & Wendy will be flying to Disney+. David Lowery directs an amazing cast including Yara Shahidi in the role of Tinker Bell and Jude Law as Captain Hook. This honestly seems like it'd be a theatrical release, pretty interested in this one.

Pinocchio - One of Disney’s all-time classics is coming to Disney+ with the new live-action retelling of Pinocchio, starring Tom Hanks and directed by Robert Zemeckis. Is it weird I hope Tom Hanks is Pinocchio instead of Geppetto?

Disenchanted - Disenchanted, a sequel to the hit film Enchanted, will stream exclusively on

Disney+. Amy Adams returns for more fantastical fun as Giselle! I really liked Enchanted, and from the title it seems like the Disney Princess will have some of her magic washed away by the world. I'm really looking forward to how she deals with that.

Sister Act 3 - Sister Act 3 is in development! Whoopi Goldberg returns to star and produce, with Tyler Perry as producer as well. Sister Act 3 will premiere on Disney+. I'm expecting the performances to be incredible in this.

Stuff I was hoping for

I was hoping for more documentary series or specials that go behind the workings at Disney. Probably my desire to work and be a part of it all behind it. Aside from that, most of the stuff I want and hope for came in the Marvel announcements.
